Privacy PolicyLast updated: 25 July 2018 The Site The purpose of this website is to publish an outline of Tom Sutcliffe's theory, which explains how chord progressions and voice leading work in tonal music as a precursor to publishing in book form. This site does not use cookies and does not include any advertising material or any sponsored material. The bibliography of books and websites is my selection of books and websites that I think are relevant to the topics covered. I am not responsible for any cookies downloaded after you link to another site from the bibliography. I cannot accept responsibility for any privacy policies on any linked websites. E-mails I keep copies of all e-mails sent to me as a useful record of feedback on the site. These are mainly used to improve the writing but may be used in the future as commendation to publishers. I will not divulge individual name and/or e-mail address involved without first gaining permission to do this. Sender data will be deleted upon request. Currently, all e-mails are held on my account on mail.google.com. These are covered by Google's E-mail Privacy Policy. Mailing List I keep a mailing list of people who have sent an e-mail and have given permission to be on the e-mail list. I keep a record of all e-mail permissions given in order to satisfy the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This list contains only the following information: the name provided and the e-mail address. I may add the person's academic title where this is relevant. I use the mailing list for two purposes:
